Although its origin is not known exactly, it is thought to be Morocco. It should not be confused with the other variety, Murcott (Honey). The peel is reddish orange, the inside is bright orange. It is a type of tangerine that ripens at the end of the season (ripens during February-March). It has a unique aroma and is a very sweet variety.
